Jenny grew up in Hawaii, traveled around the world for years with an international theater company, and then settled in Sheridan, WY in 2009. Jenny has a degree in Elementary Education with a specialization in Early Childhood, and close to 20 years of teaching experience as a summer camp director, preschool teacher, after school program director, homeschool coach, fitness instructor, and more. Jenny loves to teach classes to students of all ages in a variety of areas, including dance, creative movement, foreign language, music, theater, visual art, S.T.E.M. experiences, and outdoor adventure. When Jenny is not teaching, she enjoys DJing, karaoke, paddle boarding, creating singing telegrams for family and friends, dressing up in unique costumes, and doing character appearances such as Elsa from Frozen, Belle from Beauty and the Beast, and Miss Frizzle from the Magic School Bus.

Classes

Creative Movement

Children will use their imaginations, gross motor skills, and isolated body movements to move creatively with a wide variety of kid-friendly songs, stories, and games. Come ready to stop like dinosaurs, fly like butterflies, hop like bunnies, shake your sillies out, and learn creative stretching and breathing/ calming exercises.

Foreign Language & Culture

Foreign Language & Culture: Children will learn words and concepts from a variety of languages and cultures around the world including Spanish, Japanese, Hawaiian, and more, through engaging read-alouds, songs, and creative movement. Children will learn to count in other languages, identify colors, greet each other, and more.

Joy of Singing

Children will use fine motor skills and creative musical props including shaker eggs, puppets, tapping sticks. sing along picture books and more, as they sing, mimic sounds, and move along with a wide variety of interactive children's songs.

Dramatic Play

​Students will learn real-life and social skills through imaginative play, fostering creativity and self-expression. 

Language Arts

Language Arts: Students will gain confidence in oral development & speaking skills, through stories and centers.

Classes are held from 8 am to 12 pm Monday through Friday.

 Each class will be one hour long with 15 minutes dedicated to executive functioning and practical life skills, along with 45 minutes committed to intentional hands-on learning of the arts. Families can choose to sign up for all four classes to encourage children to try new things or choose targeted classes that fit their young learners' interests.

Classes are designed to foster independent young thinkers and parents are encouraged to take time for themselves.

The Place offers a variety of adult wellness programs while your child is attending The Early Arts.

Registration is OPEN ! Payment will be due monthly. Individual classes are $10. Parents who choose to bundle all four classes will pay a daily total of $40.
